Take time to chill out and be thrilled by a summer-long season of spooktacular events.

Blackpool Ghost Walks returns tomorrow for a full programme of outings led by Haunted Blackpool author Stephen Mercer.

After hosting occasional walks in recent years, this summer Stephen is stepping out five nights a week on a spooky stroll through Blackpool’s horrible heritage.

Going back in time, he becomes a Victorian host to tread the paths of the town’s golden past, along the Promenade and into the town centre, highlighting haunted sights among the famous buildings and attractions. Walkers will hear ghost stories galore, along with tales of terror, mystery and macabre.

Supernatural Events’ founder and walk host Stephen said: “Blackpool Ghost Walks are totally family friendly; so everyone is welcome to join me as we walk along part of our famous Promenade before winding our way around the town centre, stopping at some of Blackpool’s most important historic buildings and attractions to hear stories of ghostly goings-ons, eerie encounters, strange sounds, supernatural sightings, phantoms, shipwrecks, foghorns and much more.

“It’s going to be fright-fully good fun and I can’t wait to get started!”

Blackpool Ghost Walks set off at 7.30pm from in front of North Pier, and last around 90 minutes. Walks will be taking place from tomorrow, every Thursday to Saturday, Mondays and Tuesdays until August 26. They will resume on Saturdays and Sundays from September 6 until October 26. Walks cost £5, £3.50 for under 14s and £15 for a family of four. Visit www.BlackpoolGhostWalks.co.uk for a full list of dates or to book.
