Families reunited and former residents came from miles around to celebrate an annual Fylde club day.
Parades and processions were the order of the day at Kirkham and Wesham Club Day as the sun soared for the big event.
A parade set off around the town to kick off the weekend of fairs, fun and games, and was joined by an array of community groups.
Angela Hunter, acting chairman of the organising committee, said: “This is an event for all the community, and it is as big an event as any other in the calendar. Families get together for this day like they would for Christmas, and they travel back here every year.
“One man I was talking to has flown back from his job in Norway just to be here.”
Temperatures soared throughout the weekend, making it one of the best club days for years, according to Mrs Hunter.
She said: “The weather has been fantastic and there’s been a brilliant turnout.
“Everyone has said they’ve had a really good time and everyone has played their part in organising this.”
