Sands Venue on Blackpool Promenade has opened its doors to its first ever tea dances.
At the opening Tuesday session customers enjoyed a mixture of music played by the Frontline Dance Band – who have played on major cruise ships as well as having supported bands such as Manfred Mann.
The live band played traditional waltzes, foxtrots and sequence dancing and the afternoon was topped off with an afternoon tea.
Sands regulars Paul and Lucy Breeze commented: “The band was fantastic, such good fun and the dancing was brilliant. Top marks to everyone and the food was absolutely delicious, we hope these dances continue throughout the year.”
The next tea dance is today priced £9.99 which includes a finger buffet and also tea or coffee. Doors open at 2pm and it will finish at 4.30pm.
