Fleetwood’s Ryan Wilkinson got an early Christmas present when he appeared as Alex Cook in the BBC1 drama Doctors last Friday.
He played a troubled young boy who vandalises a Christmas Float and, despite the nature of the role, had a great time on set.
“Everyone was so nice and I really enjoyed working for them,” said the 11-year old Cardinal Allen pupil who trains at Scream Theatre School in Blackpool .
It was there he was spotted by sister company, Scream Talent Agency.
Scream team senior agent Jess Bell said: “He’s not stopped working since joining us and we are so proud of our talented actor.”
Ryan recently appeared as Robert in series two of Sky Living’s Bedlam and as Gerald Prosser in the BBC1 three part screen adaptation of The Secret of Crickley Hall.
Scream Management have also secured him the role of Adam Wiggins in the internationally acclaimed Shameless which airs in January next year and In the Flesh (BBC3) alongside Ricky Tomlinson which screens next February.
Scream Theatre School trains children for a professional career in the arts and is always on the lookout for new talent.
Scream’s successful Triple Threat Academy runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and showcases pupils to top casting directors every year.
The school trains ages two to 18 with weekly classes including street dancing, breaking, advanced dance, musical theatre, youth theatre, LAMDA and private vocals plus all areas of the performing arts.
