A brand new Take That and West Life tribute band makes its Blackpool debut tomorrow at the North Shore Sports and Social Club from 8.30pm.

The brainchild of one time New Faces winner Wayne Denton, the four-piece group features established Blackpool vocalist and former Blackpool and The Fylde College performing arts student Sean Lonsdale alongside Ryan Parkinson from Derby, Sam Gorman from Wolverhampton and Norwich-based Andy Knight.

Following a successful showcase last October, Wayne Denton Entertainments Ltd recognised the need for a new Take That tribute band to take up a 20-week engagement at the Sunset Beach Hotel in Benalmadena, southern Spain.

Auditions held in Birmingham in February identified ideal candidates for the new band followed by a period of intensive rehearsals choreographed by Bambi Dhami (a member of a dance group associated with Take That from their early days). The show, called A Celebration of Take That and Westlife, contains all the major hits from the two groups with dance routines and solo performances and heads to Spain at the end of the month. Admission tomorrow £5.
