Peter Kay confirmed today that he will be filming an In Conversation special with three times Sony award winning radio DJ Danny Baker in Blackpool Opera House on Saturday, October 20 at 8pm.

The event is being filmed for broadcast and subsequent DVD release.

The award winning comedian, whose last UK tour has recently entered the Guinness Book of Records as the most successful stand up comedy tour in the world, will be discussing his phenomenal career in comedy for the very first time in such an intimate style and venue.

He’ll also be chatting about his surprising career in the music world where he has notched up six top five singles, including three number ones and has also been the creative force behind some of the most memorable music videos of the century.

He has also carved out a successful career as an author writing three books to date, including The Sound Of Laughter, which still holds the record as biggest selling British autobiography of all time.

Announcing his exclusive Blackpool visit the comedian said: “I was thrilled when Danny asked me as I’ve never done a interview like this before and I’ve always admired his work.
