Following last year’s record breaking production of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs all round entertainer Ted Robbins (centre of picture) is back at Preston Charter Theatre as writer, director and Widow Twankey in this year’s pantomime Aladdin

He will be joined by Kay Purcell (Tracy Beaker, Waterloo Road and Emmerdale) as Genie of the Lamp, Tachia Newall (Waterloo Road, Coronation Street) making his Preston debut as Aladdin.

Warren Donnelly (Shameless, Life on Mars) as Abanazar, Jodie Hamblet (Coronation Street and Shameless) returning as Princess Jasmine, comedy duo The Harper Brothers as the Chinese policemen and a special appearance of Mr Bump.

Producer and Guild Hall general manager Chris Haylett said: “Over the past two years we’ve offered the very best in traditional, professional, top quality family entertainment. We’ve brought good old-fashioned values back to a much-loved Preston tradition and the audiences obviously love the shows due to the record breaking sales.”

Aladdin runs from December 6 to January 2. Box office: (0845) 344 0802.
