Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness is heading back to his roots and returning to stand-up with a national tour - and a Blackpool Opera House date 12 months from today.

The Lancashire funny man, who came to fame in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, has announced 50 new dates, which sees him come to the resort venue on Friday, January 29, 2016.

Tickets for the Daddy McGuinness tour, which starts in September, go on sale tomorrow at 10am from www.gigsandtours.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or by calling 0844 811 0051 or 0844 826 2826.

Paddy, who is raring to get back to where he belongs – on stage, making people laugh, said: “I’m really looking forward to being back on tour – I’ve missed it. I’ve got a great new show. Among many other things, I’ll be sharing several stories about becoming a first time dad and parenthood. Roll on September.”
