Wendy Hollands is all too familiar with the new route for Blackpool’s annual Race For Life – as it takes her past her professional home of the past 14 years, Trevor Chance’s Legends on the Central Pier.
Wendy will be heading the warm-up this year in front of over 3,000 local ladies, encouraging them to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause. “Instead of looking out to the Irish Sea I will be looking at a sea of pink,” said Wendy. “It is going to be an amazing event and I am honoured to have been asked. I didn’t hesitate, especially when I heard that courageous Thornton sportswoman Kim Rossall would be starting the event, inspiring us all.”
And it’s a double reason to be cheerful or Wendy. On July 4, the day of the race, it will be one year to the day since she opened the doors on her fitness studio in Thornton.
Kim Rossall’s mother and sister also attend weekly classes at the Wendy Hollands Fitness Studio and Wendy was extremely keen to organise a group of class members to support the event.
Wendy Hollands Fitness offers a variety of fun and effective adult-based fitness classes including the ever popular zumba, body blitz, kettlebells, pilates, dance masterclasses and more.
