THE Stars of Strictly Come Dancing have landed in Blackpool ahead of tomorrow’s Tower Ballroom grand finale with Ian Holloway’s praises ringing in their ears.
The Blackpool FC manager is a self-confessed Strictly fan and declared Aussie hearthrob and final underdog Jason Donovan as the “Blackpool, of the competition”.
He is not rating the former Neighbours star’s chances too highly declaring: “If Jason wins, you can call me Ginger Rogers!”
Donovan will take to the famous Tower Ballroom floor tomorrow night for the live final and do battle with McFly drummer Harry Judd – described by Holloway as “smooth as a cashmere codpiece” and Waterloo Road actress Chelsee Healey.
The bookies – and the judges – have it too close to call between Judd and Healey.
Holloway, who was in the audience for last year’s Blackpool show, said : “Last week we were coming back on a coach from Southampton and I was screaming and shouting at the telly. I absolutely loved it.
“I can’t believe the geezer from McFly. I didn’t realise out of the two people dancing who was the professional dancer, he was that good.
“As for Chelsee, what a bundle of joy and energy she is. To get 40 last week was brilliant.
“Who’s going to win? Any of the two, I don’t think Jason has a chance.
“Put it this way, if Jason Donovan wins that show, you can call me Ginger Rogers.
“He’s going to go and try his best, but for me it will be one of the other two that win it. Jason is like Blackpool, nobody fancies him to win!
“Harry from McFly is as smooth as a cashmere codpiece!”
