An up and coming British folk and country singer-songwriter is making a double date at venue Fort San Antone.
Sasha McVeigh will be performing at the site, the ‘largest Country and Western facility in Europe’ at Warton, on Saturday at 9.30pm, as part of her UK tour, with a return visit on Sunday, October 19 to close the Fort San Antone Country Music Festival weekend.
Sasha has been artist of the week on BBC Introducing for BBC Hereford and Worcester three times, as well as being selected for the Introducing stages at Wychwood and Lakefest festivals.
She has recently returned to the UK, after a 12,500-mile American tour, taking in some of the top country festivals.
Her professional music journey began in 2012, when she spent two weeks in Nashville, with a handful of shows becoming a full fortnight of bookings and a return visit for two months later that year and again in early 2013.
This summer, after her second US tour, she went back to Nashville, and has recorded Two Ships, her first single, due for release in the spring.
She said: “These past few years have been part of a journey, a journey that’s far from over. I feel incredibly blessed for all the opportunities that continue to present themselves and for the support of my fans, friends and family.
“There’s a lot to look forward to in 2015 and I just can’t wait to get started.”
