The third Pat Mancini Ball, in aid of the Queendeans Association, takes place at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens next month.
This year promises to be bigger than ever before, with a great line-up of top artists in the Spanish Hall.
It was decided three years ago, after the death of Pat, the association’s longstanding chairman, to have an annual event in honour of her great work.
It was estimated Pat raised more than £2m for various charitable organisations for which, shortly before her death, she was awarded an MBE.
The first Pat Mancini Ball in 2012 was headlined at the Hilton by Joe Longthorne (one of Pat’s best friends) and the second was also held at the Hilton and featured the Ragdolls’ tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
This year’s ball is set in the splendour of the Winter Gardens, and headlining the night will be the fantastic AJ Brown and his Signature Big Band.
The line-up also includes Fylde’s Got Talent winner James Edgar, who recently performed at this year’s Lytham Proms.
Then you can dance into the small hours with the energetic Back 2 Back, all hosted by Blackpool’s own Liam Halewood plus special guests.
Guests will be treated to a three-course dinner by the renowned Jacks of St Annes.
The Queendeans is one of Blackpool’s oldest charities, being set up just after the 2nd world war.
The association helps many great causes across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde, and members recently donated £10,000 to the Trinity Hospice appeal, as well as supporting South Shore’s Boathouse Youth Group by providing team-building canal holidays, lifesaving First Response kits, nebulizers for Blackpool Victoria Hospital, and specialised flying suits for the North West Air Ambulance , to give a few examples!
Tickets for the event are available from Jean Parkes on (01253) 899988, or in person from the Winter Gardens Box Office, priced at £50 each.
