Rockers Status Quo have announced a new UK tour - kicking off from Blackpool’s Opera House.
The 11-date Accept No Substitute tour gets underway at the Winter Gardens’ venue on Saturday, November 28.
Tickets go on sale on Friday at 9am, with fan club sales opening tomorrow.
This tour is billed as seeing the band ‘returning to their fully electric set up after the huge success of the Aquostic (Stripped Bare) and Aquostic! Live At The Roundhouse albums and tour’.
A statement said: “Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Andy Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and Leon Cave will plug back in and bring their thunderous electric live show back to the nation’s venues.
“Packed with hits, both new and old, taken from that unbelievable back catalogue, this is a series of dates not to be missed.
Rossi added: “We’ve had such a blast with the ‘Aquostic’ style, but for this tour we are going back to the sound that defines us.
“I read in the paper that we were breaking up; but we’re not finished yet I can tell you!”
Parfitt said: “I guess the name of the tour speaks for itself, but this is full-throttle no-nonsense Status Quo.”
Tickets costing from £39.50 go on general release on Friday, at www.wintergardens blackpool.co.uk.
