LITTLE Mix’s Perrie Edwards says she can’t wait to show her bandmates around Blackpool when they join the all star Illuminations Switch-On party tonight.

“I used to come here with my nan when I was young and I just loved it – all the rides, the amusements and the donkeys on the beach, it was all magic to me,” said the 19-year-old South Shields teenager who together with Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall romped to victory in last year’s X Factor.

“I love Blackpool and I just hope we arrive in time for me to show the others around before we go on stage,” she added. “So if anyone thinks they’ve seen Little Mix gong up and down the Promenade, they’ll probably be right.”

With new single Wings looking set to top the charts this weekend, their visit is excellent timing.

“We’ll be singing a couple of songs tonight and that will be one of them of course,” said Perrie. “It will be great to see so many people there to see us and all the others on the show.”

The last year has all been a bit of a whirl she admits but she wouldn’t have changed a thing.

“I feel like we’ve packed 10 years experience into 12 months but it’s been great,” she said. “The only trouble is that at this rate I’ll be grey before I’m 20. I just hope nobody on the Headlands spots it.”
