Chart-topping rock duo Royal Blood will appear in Blackpool during their UK tour next year.
The Brighton-based two-piece band, fronted by Mike Kerr, are scheduled to play at the Empress Ballroom on March 6 as part of their biggest tour to date.
The major tour has been announced on the back of the success of the band’s self-titled debut album, which went to number one after its release in August.
Royal Blood, featuring Kerr on lead vocals and bass guitar as well as drummer Ben Thatcher, have supported Arctic Monkeys on tour.
Now the Mercury-nominated band, who released their first single in November 2013, are set to play a string of 12 gigs supported by Mini Mansions, kicking off in Glasgow on February 22.
Security measures mean tickets will have fans’ details printed on the tickets, in a similar way to recent Glastonbury festivals. The band says the decision was made to protect fans trying to buy tickets at face value.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday, and will be available through Seetickets, Ticketmaster and Gigs and Tours.
