This year for the first time ever Central Pier’s Legends is opening its doors for an Easter Eggstravanza.
Featuring tributes to Elvis Presley (the critically acclaimed Chris Connor), Freddie (Dean Richardson), back by popular demand the “All Revved Up” Meatloaf event (featuring Jimmy Love and Leanne Fury); and introducing Monique Mitchell-Wood as the delectable Kylie Minogue the show runs from April 6 to 8.
Monique also returns in the summer as Lady Gaga, offering a portrayal of the diva on the Legends stage for the first time ever.
Tickets for the Easter production – which only runs from Good Friday to Easter Sunday – have been on sale since the beginning of February and at least 40 per cent have now been sold.
But the record breaking Legends show is going for a hat trick this year. In addition to its summer season the show is also back again for its second Christmas production. With two different summer line-ups that means four versions of the show for 2012 – featuring a total of 11 tribute acts.
The summer season starts on June 14 with Lady Ga Ga joined by The Blues Brothers, Robbie Williams and Freddie Mercury. Then from June 21 the line-up is Elvis, Meat Loaf, Jon Bon Jovi and Buddy Holly. The shows then alternate until Saturday, November 3.
For the Christmas version Maxine Barrie makes a welcome return to the resort as Shirley Bassey and she will be joined by tributes to Buddy Holly, Neil Diamond and Michael Buble. The Christmas show will be followed by a hot buffet and disco.
