He graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester in 2004, and is now based in the area, teaching and playing recitals and concertoes.
He is regarded as a musician of considerable versatility, in addition to his ability as a serious recitalist he is also an extremely talented jazz pianist and is an accomplished cellist.
The recital begins at 2pm. Admission costs £8, £6 for recital members.
* The Blackpool Opera House’s mighty Wurlitzer organ will be fired up for a concert on Wednesday.
Presented by the Cannock Chase Organ Club, the concert starts at 2pm and costs £5, with tickets available from the Winter Gardens box office in advance, or on the day.
Michael Wooldridge will be on the keys for the event, which is the latest collaboration between the club and the Winter Gardens Trust, to bring in money for the complex’s programme of refurbishments to its organs.
Money raised from previous Opera House organ concerts have helped to fund the recent refurbishment of its sister instrument in the neighbouring Empress Ballroom.
