Two men have been charged with attempted murder after three people were stabbed on Blackpool’s North Pier.

Luke Sandlan, 26, and Elliott Sandlan, 20, are both due to appear at Blackpool Magistrates Court today.

A 23-year-old man from Manchester, who was at the Pier Jam dance music event on Saturday, remains in a “serious but stable” condition in hospital following the incident.

The accused, both of Boddington Road, Eccles, Manchester have been charged with one count of attempted murder and two counts of wounding with intent.

Luke Sandlan has been charged with a further offence of possession of an offensive weapon.

Officers were called at around 10.45pm to reports of a fight on North Pier during Saturday’s Pier Jam event.

Police said two other alleged victims – a 15-year-old boy from Manchester and a 30-year-old man from Bradford – were taken to hospital with stab wounds and have since been released.
