Lucy Spraggan, one of the few X-Factor acts to actually retain her individuality and quirkiness, despite being under the control of the corporate monster that is Simon Cowell (right, rant over...), is heading on her first tour.
She left X-Factor early last year because of illness but was snapped up by Columbia Records and had a summer hit with debut single Lighthouse.
Describing her music as ‘A-Flop’ – a mixture of acoustic, folk and hip-hop – she had been making music long before her 15 minutes of fame on primetime tele with an independently released Top Room At The Zoo album in November 2011, and a support slot alongside Razorlight in 2012.
Spraggan is playing with her band at 53 Degrees in Preston on Thursday September 26. Tickets priced £12 are available at www.53degrees.net
