THE good times are set to roll on Blackpool North Pier this summer.
If you have you ever wished you could go back in time and re-live a favourite period of your life all over again or wondered what it was like in the 1950s and 60s when live music was at its best and everyone was having fun then Let The Good Times Roll could be the solution.
Direct from the West End to Blackpool, Let The Good Times Roll – which has been booked for the North Pier Theatre every Saturday evening from July 28 to September 1 (excluding August 11) – is a live 10-piece production that pays a memorable tribute to some of the greatest and deeply adored music of the 50s and 60s.
The story begins with a group of pensioners in a bar reminiscing about the good old days when they were in a band performing with the likes of Buddy Holly and The Beatles.
All they wish for is a chance to take a trip back in time, just to do it one more time.
Dreams come true when a clock begins to roll back the years, taking them and the audience through time all the way to the 1950s as the gentlemen at the bar are returned to their glory days, a time when they are ready to perform live music in the same old bar 60 years ago.
The show is fronted by Lee Mason and two female singers who are backed by a horn section, piano, organ, drums, upright double bass, electric bass, lead guitar and backing vocals. The production also boasts spectacular costumes which change through the eras.
As well as a journey through time to hear the music, the show will feature pictures, newspaper cuttings and many historic facts that help remember those great times.
Tickets are £15 for adults with first child free and £9 thereafter. Family of four ticket (minimum one adult and one child) – £35.
