It’s not long now until the Rebellion punk festival rolls back into Blackpool.
The annual event is staged at the Winter Gardens from August 7 to August 10.
But it’s not just the big name acts and the official venues who will be providing live music over this popular weekend.
On Wednesday August 6 there is a pre-show at the Tache Rock Club, above the Rose and Crown Pub on Corporation Street. This event starts at 8pm and the doors close 4am latest.
On the bill this night will Drongos For Europe, Cyanide Pills, The Hostiles, Fornicators, Hazard all supported by local acts The Senton Bombs and Litterbug.
The Senton Bombs (right) have been touring extensively in recent times and in contrast Litterbug are winding down their 10 year plus existence with a handful of gigs and one more release by the end of summer.
Their Running on Empty CD will be available soon, but if you not you can pick up Its Punk Rock Jim, But Not As We Know It at the Tache event -an 18 track, 42 minute album.
A series of after-shows will follow during the remainder of the festival.
All start at 11am and will end by 4am.
Bands to play include Rust, Brains All Gone, Fight Back, Fukdust4, Argies, Noise Agents, Blest Mess, Vikki Vortex, The Vile, Wasted Life, 1000 Scars, Cellbound, Spirit Bombs, and Sensa Yuma.
Weekend matinee’ gigs take place from 2pm to 6pm and Saturdays event features Lizzie and the Banshees (Siouxsie tribute act) with support from Army of Skanks and Healthy Junkies.
Sunday keeps the tribute theme alive with Sedated (Ramones covers) supporting the excellent world wide touring Sex Pistols Experience.
