HUNDREDS of screaming girls are set to descend on Blackpool to meet one of pop’s biggest names.
Hearts are set to skip a beat when X Factor star Olly Murs heads to the resort for an exclusive book signing at the Grand Theatre.
The singer will be on stage at the theatre during October half-term for an on-stage chat and question and answer session with his fans.
It is all part of the singer’s tour to promote his autobiography, Happy Days, and is the biggest event Kirkham bookshop Silverdell has ever organised.
Elaine Silverwood, from the Poulton Street shop, said: “It’s a huge coup for us and I’m very proud.
“We are the only talking event Olly is doing and we are also the only independent bookshop to organise an event.
“This is huge in the book trade and it is huge to me, it’s the biggest event we have ever done.”
Just 1,000 tickets will go on sale tomorrow for the event, which will take place at 1pm on October 31.
Olly is no stranger to the Fylde coast having twice performed for the Illuminations switch-on gig.
He also performed at this year’s Lytham Proms and Peter Taylor, from the Prom’s St Annes-based organisers Cuffe and Taylor, will conduct the hour-long interview on-stage with Olly.
Then, fans will have the chance to put their questions to the Dance With Me Tonight singer during a half hour question and answer session.
Elaine added: “We are definitely expecting it to sell out. Twitter is going crazy for it.”
Tickets cost £16.99, including a signed copy of the book.
They will be available online from 9am tomorrow at www.blackpoolgrand.co.uk and from 10am at the box office.
