The latest event to promote the New Fylde Folk’n’Roots Festival is planned for later this month.
An Evening Of Music takes place at the North Euston Hotel’s Victoria Bar, with a variety of live acts taking the stage on Friday, November 28.
The festival, which will take place next September 4 to 6, is the new title of the Fylde Folk Festival.
A committee spokesman said: “Come along and enjoy a variety of genres of music that come under the Folk’n’Roots umbrella, there will be something for everyone. Enjoy the evening and find out what will be happening in 2015.”
The show later this month begins at 7.15pm and features the ‘renowned and diverse’ acts The Bev Wheelan Band, John Carroll, Scolds Bridle and The Ginger Dog Blues Band.
The spokesman added: “Bev is an all-Ireland award-winning flute and tin whistle player.
“Local blues man, John Carroll, from the Shakers Blues Band, is pleased to join the festival celebrations. We’re very proud to present one of the most talented female duets folk has to offer in the UK – Scolds Bridle, immensely popular, an audience favourite wherever they play.
“And the evening will be played out with The Ginger Dog Blues Band, who undoubtedly will entertain with including skiffle, blues, Americana and bluegrass.”
