Come On Over To My Place say Blackpool’s Grand Theatre as fabulous R & B four-piece The Drifters stop by for one night.
The soul legends bring their most spectacular live show to date on Sunday, June 8, featuring the honey-voiced talents of current line-up Pierre Herelle, Michael Williams, Ryan King and Carlton Powell.
You can enjoy the signature, smooth sound of fantastic, four-part vocal harmonies at their very best, with unforgettable, toe-tapping tunes such as Under The Boardwalk, Saturday Night At The Movies, Up On The Roof, Come On Over To My Place, More Than A Number In My Little Red Book, and many more.
Founded in 1953, The Drifters brand is in its 60th sensational year, and has seen massive chart success across the world with over 114 million album sales and 214 million single sales with a vast catalogue of hits.
With more than 65 members in the 60 years, The Drifters have gone from strength to strength, performing live around the world, releasing smash hit records and even introducing a schools workshop programme.
In 2009, the band released Five Decades and Moore – a tribute in recognition of the great contribution the late Johnny Moore made to the band.
This was followed by the highly successful Up On The Roof: The Greatest Hits in 2011, which included new tracks Do You Dream of Me and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, recorded with Michael Williams on lead.
This led in 2012 to the first gold disc in over 35 years for some of The Drifters former recording artists – Joe Blunt, Clyde Brown and Butch Leake – and it also became the first gold disc for the current line-up.
