As we have been highlighting all week, your favourite daily newspaper is changing as of Monday.

New designs and new editorial platforms will begin a new chapter for The Gazette.

A crucial part of our new look will be a complete revamp for our entertainment sections.

Music, theatre and the arts are a crucial part of Blackpool and the Fylde coast and they will be given the prominence they deserve – from our daily Diary and What’s On pages to new dedicated special supplements and pull-outs.

Next Thursday will see the launch of our new Wow24/7 supplement.

This replaces the current Weekend offering which has appeared for many years on a Friday.

Wow24/7 will contain a full guide of what see, what to visit, what to eat and where to enjoy yourself over the coming week.

It will also feature dedicated pages to Blackpool and the Fylde coast’s local music and theatre scenes.

Gazette Entertainment Writer Steve Canavan said: “Blackpool is the entertainment capital of the north so we wanted to reflect that within the new-look Gazette.

“Wow24/7 is The Gazette’s new What’s On website which links what is going on here on the Fylde coast to every town in the UK.

“This means shows and acts which feature within The Gazette are given even greater exposure across the UK.

“The entertainment offering will be given greater prominence in the daily paper while the Wow 24/7 pull-out each Thursday will be an essential guide on what is coming up over the next week.

“Within that I am really excited about the local music and theatre pages.

“So if you are in a band, have a gig coming up, have recorded a demo then we will preview and review it.

“We want to shout about all the great shows and acts that are situated on the Fylde coast or who are coming here to perform.”

Wow24/7 will also be featuring a new dining out section, a family days out page and a full guide to what is going on across the Fylde coast and around the North West.

So, if you are in a band or have recorded a demo then why not send it to: Steve Canavan at The Gazette, Avroe House, Avroe Crescent, Blackpool Business Park, Blackpool, FY4 2DP or email steve.canavan@blackpoolgazette.co.uk.
