Fleetwood tenor Alfie Boe is to take centre stage at this year’s BBC Proms In The Park from Belfast on Saturday, September 13 - as part of the national Last Night Of The Proms celebrations.
The platinum-selling star of the West End and award-winning artist will take centre stage at this year’s concert performing some of the classic tracks that have made him one of the UK’s biggest box office draws, as well as material from his forthcoming new album.
He joins a star-studded line-up of international and home-grown talent on the city’s Titanic Slipways who will perform alongside the Ulster Orchestra under the baton of David Brophy at the iconic Titanic Slipways in Belfast.
Alfie (pictured) said: “I can’t wait to be a part of the BBC Proms in Belfast. The Proms is a wonderful celebration of music for every generation and an honour for each performer.” Also featuring are Strictly Come Dancing stars Anton du Beke and Erin Boag, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Amy Dickson, virtuoso violinist Kirill Troussov and jazz singer Dana Masters.
