FAST-RISING Blackpool singer and songwriter Jess Harwood continues one of the busiest weeks of her blossoming career with gig at the Mad Ferret in Preston tonight.
The 19-year-old performer has been notching up regular appearances around Manchester and the North West area and earlier this week was seen at the Robert Gillow in Lancaster alongside Cartoon Food.
The busy spell concludes with a prestigious support slot alongside highly acclaimed Ben Montague at Moho in Manchester. She returns to Manchester on December 2 for a headlining spot at Band On the Wall.
Jess has had several of her original songs played on BBC Radio Lancashire’s BBC Introducing show and also went in to do a live session with them. A self taught guitarist/vocalist she has been writing her own songs for about two years now.
A recent Band On The Wall review said: “A familiar face on the Sunday Sessions open mic, Blackpool’s Jess Harwood is beginning to make a real name for herself as a hugely talented up-and-coming singer/song writer. Jess delivers well-crafted songs, packed full of catchy melodies, with a crystal-clear voice which is not soon forgotten.”
