Lawrence subject of Arts Society lecture
Lawrence of Arabia is the subject of Fylde Decorative and Fine Arts Society's March lecture, which takes place at St Annes United Reformed Church, St George's Road, on Wednesday afternoon.
It will be given by Neil Faulkner, an honorary research fellow at Bristol University whose book Lawrence of Arabia’s War was published last year.
Neil is also editor of Military History Monthly and during the lecture, he will contrast the legend of Lawrence of Arabia, subject of the classic 60s film with Peter O’Toole, with the true story of what happened in the desert war of 1916 to 1918.
