Blackpool singer/songwriter Karima Francis (pictured left) is featured on an exclusive Amy Winehouse tribute CD free with the latest issue of Q magazine.

Issue Q313 has just hit newsstands and carries the tribute CD to go alongside an extensive cover feature on the late singer.

Karima Francis has tackled Tears Dry On Their Own on the Q CD which is titled Back To...Back To Black after Winehouse’s best selling album.

“This is my favourite Amy Winehouse song and I said to myself that I’m going to give something back to Amy that she gave to me,” said Karima. “I want people to think I’ve taken the time to do something special with it.

“I met her at a festival in Cannes once and saw her play that night. I remember running to the front, Champagne bottle in hand, and just standing there and watching her in complete awe. I’d never felt the actual soul of someone in me before like that.

“I met her after the show, and we talked all night.”
