There’s another chance to see students from Lytham St Annes Technology and Performing Arts College present their response to a visit to Auschwitz.
Frei, which was premiered at Lancaster’s Holocaust Memorial Day event in January, will be performed again at DT3, The Dukes youth specific venue in Moor Lane, Lancaster, tomorrow at 8pm.
The actors, all outgoing Year 13 performing arts students, visited the former concentration camp at Auschwitz last year and drew on survivor testimonies, poetry and photographs to create their production.
They aimed to draw parallels between their journey and that of the many who travelled through the camp as prisoners and victims.
“This will be the last opportunity to see this outstanding cohort of students before they leave for further study on a range of performance related courses at some of the best institutions in this area across the country,” said drama teacher Mal Smith.
