Andi Chapple will be “landing” at Marsh Mill in Thornton tomorrow.
It’s a one-off free performance from the sound and performance artist who started a walking tour in Cumbria, recording sounds en-route and then using them as part of his movement-controlled electronic music performance.
“Hearing is easy, listening is hard,” comments Andi, who will be walking 100 miles as part of his ‘Landed’ project.
He has been involved with sound, movement and improvised, organic music recording for several years and holds ‘soundwalk’ workshops and performances in Cumbria. Event coordinator, Ann Charlesworth says: “We are proud and excited to be the host venue for Andi’s performance.
“The Mill’s unique heritage and history will provide an interesting surrounding and backdrop for Andi’s gig, blending the traditional with the modern.”
The performance is free and starts at 7pm.
