Popular author Darren Shan is to launch his new children’s horror series Zom-B at Blackpool Grand Theatre next month.
He will be signing copies of his new book and reading excerpts from the terrifying Zom-B on Wednesday, October 3 at 1pm.
There will be opportunities to ask Darren questions about his writing career, where he gets his inspiration from and what to expect in the forthcoming book series.
Everyone is also invited to go along dressed as zombies if they wish!
Darren Shan is a popular children’s author and in January 2000 published his first book, Cirque du Freak, from the series titled The Saga of Darren Shan.
The book series attracted rave reviews and an ever-growing army of fans hungry to learn more about vampires, which were quite unlike any that anyone had ever seen before.
For the several years that followed, Shan focused almost exclusively on books for younger readers, in which time he wrote a total of 12 books about vampires.
He quickly followed up his vampiric saga with The Demonata, a series about demons. Running to 10 books in total, The Demonata cemented Darren Shan’s place as ‘the master of children’s horror’, and saw him attain his first UK number one bestseller.
The newest of his scary series for teenagers focuses on zombies, the title of which is aptly named Zom-B.
There are 12 books in total in the new series and you can get your copy of the first book of the series and meet Darren Shan himself at his Grand Theatre visit.
A ticket for this unique book signing event includes a signed hard back copy of the book, a talk from Darren and an opportunity to ask him questions.
Tickets are £7. This event is suitable for people from the age of 13.
