The heat is on for the Hot Ice Show 2012 at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
For the past few weeks, 30 ice skaters from across the globe have been taking to the ice for this year’s production – Entice.
One of the biggest productions yet, it premieres on July 4 and runs nightly (except Sundays) through to September 8.
Internationally renowned ice skaters are being put through an intense rehearsal period by producer and director Amanda Thompson OBE with choreography by Stageworks creative director Antony Johns and former Finnish champion Oula Jaaskelainen.
The world’s longest running ice show sees a number of faces returning to the Hot Ice Arena including Katie Stainsby from ITV’s Dancing On Ice show, Olympian ice skater Maria Sergejeva, Russian international champion Ruslan Novoseltsev and Australian ice champion Trent Nelson-Bond.
As ever, the ice skaters will take part in the 90-minute high energy show and audience members will be able to feel the cast as they whiz past them at high speed, Amanda Thompson said of this year’s show: “Once again Hot Ice is proving to be the hottest show around with some of the best ice skaters on the planet. Rehearsals have been going really well and I am delighted with the cast who are showing real enthusiasm for some of the scenes we have planned.
“Hot Ice will be the must see show of the summer season and is the perfect addition to an already spectacular number of events and shows we have on here at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.”
