Fleetwood’s fourth annual Easter Jazz Weekend at the North Euston Hotel is the biggest yet with more sessions than previous years running from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
The weekend’s two internationally known jazz stars are John Hallam who joins Six-In-A-Bar on Good Friday and Enrico Tomasso (right) who joins Mike Lovell’s Allstars on Easter Saturday
John Hallam plays clarinet, flute, soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones and has played alongside musicians such as Clerk Terry, Benny Carter, Stephane Grapelli, Roy Williams and George Chisholm.
John can be seen all over the country guesting with various line-ups at clubs, festivals and jazz weekends.
Enrico Tomasso plays flugelhorn and is one of the most respected and sought after trumpet players in the country.
He was introduced to jazz at an early stage by his father Ernie Tomasso meeting and listening to Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Dizzie Gillespie, Maynard Ferguson, Basie and Duke Ellington.
He has played with outfits such as the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Ray Gelato Orchestra and currently performs with Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazz Band.
