BLACKPOOL Odeon’s Ben & Jerry shop is taking part in the annual Free Cone Day tomorrow.
Ben and Jerry started this annual tradition in 1978 in their first ever scoop shop. and it has grown into a global event, with over a million scoops given away worldwide every year.
Odeon manager Colin Alexander said: “The day is all about giving something back to consumers. The aim is to say ‘thanks’ to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream fans and hopefully raise over £100 for our Odeon charities – NSPCC and Variety The Children’s Charity.”
Scoops of Ben & Jerry’s will be given away between 6 and 9pm and the twist for this year is that every hour, on the hour, the person at the front of the queue will be given a free Core Sundae.
During the event donations will be collected for the two charities, Ben & Jerry’s merchandise will be given away and there will be a poster sale of recent film releases.
