Festive theme and carolling for all at Fylde Arts’ recital

Have your say

Friday’s Fylde Arts festive midday recital – Christmas Is Coming – at the Lytham Assembly Rooms from 2pm is again presented and accompanied by series organiser Marjorie Pennington.

Artistes include Poulton based soprano Marilyn Lloyd, well known throughout the Fylde and North West for her many concert, oratorio and recital appearances. Elizabeth Cooper (violin) is a regular participant in the annual programmes. Apart from her many recital and concert appearances, she is a busy private teacher of violin and an orchestra leader.

Jane Foster (cello) joins Marjorie and Elizabeth to form the trio which contributes light classics and accompanies the carols. Jane is principal cello with Blackpool Symphony Orchestra, the Fylde Concert Orchestra and also plays with Fylde Sinfonia.

Friday’s programme includes songs, arias, instrumental solos, trios and concludes with carols for all.

It is followed by a light buffet and mince pies.

Admission is £7 (£5 for Fylde Arts members.
