THIS is just a wild stab in the dark but I reckon the following is more likely to appeal to the female members of society as opposed to the blokes.
Five have announced a Greatest Hits tour - and they are coming to Blackpool.
Can’t see many fellas getting too carried away with that bombshell news...
The boy band, who melted hearts all over the UK in the late 90s, reformed last year and embarked on a successful tour.
And the good news for their fans in these parts is that they are hitting the road again later this year and will arrive at the Opera House on Wednesday November 20.
By rights they should now be called Four. Original member J Brown (so cool he doesn’t use his first name) declined to take part in the tour, meaning it’s down to the rest of the boys - Scott Robinson, Ritchie Neville, Abz Love and Sean Conlon - to blast out their hits to simpering audiences.
Five are the very definition of a manufactured band, formed in 1997 by the same team that propelled the Spice Girls to worldwide success.
Five enjoyed incredible success worldwide, particularly in the United Kingdom, throughout Europe, Asia, Australasia, North and South America. They split up on 27 September 2001, after selling over 20 million records worldwide, having 11 top ten singles, 3 number 1’s, and four top ten albums in the UK, selling out Arena tours, and picking up just about every achievable award including Brits and MTV awards.
This 14-date headline tour sees them go the length and breadth of the UK, including arena dates in Liverpool and Cardiff. They will be performing all their greatest hits live.
“We are so happy to be on our own headline tour again after all these years playing all the hits,” said the band in a statement.
“We are truly grateful to each and every one of the fans for their continuous support. We can’t wait to get on the road and perform our full set of Greatest Hits again. Let’s av it!”
