Blackpool DJ Danny Howard is set to take over the Radio 1 airwaves next week.
The winner of the station’s Superstar DJ competition is set to present Ibiza rewind – 12 hours of epic highlights from Radio 1’s annual takeover of the White Isle next Friday, December 30, from 7pm.
The marathon programme includes live sets from some of the hottest talent around including Professor Green, Example, 2 Bears, Little Dragon, SBTRKT and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs plus some of the worlds’ best DJ’s including Calvin Harris, Eric Morillo, Pete Tong and Carl Cox (back to back), Deadmau5, Magnetic Man, Skream & Benga, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, DJ Chuckie, Judge Jules, Funkagenda, Mark Knight, Knife Party and Jamie Jones
On the same night over on Radio 2 Fleetwood’s Alfie Boe can be heard presenting Your One Hundred Best Tunes from 8pm followed by Gazette astrologer Russell Grant with Strictly New Year, a Strictly Come Dancing themed special from 10pm. on Radio 2.
Back with Danny Howard, he can be seen in person tonight taking part in Randy Ron’s Big Chill Ice Party at CoCo and Crystal on Market Street with the Randy Girls, the FreeFly Breakdance Crew, Santa’s Little Helpers, plus DJs Elliott Smith, Nick Coulson and Vince Williams and Tom Da Lips on sax.
