THOSE with a fondness for dance can get tickets for two big events coming up at the Winter Gardens.

This Sunday the UDO North West Streetdance Championships take place in the Empress Ballroom.

Put simply, it is a feast of dancing – with dancers of all ages doing tricks so outrageous they will make your eyes water.

UDO chief executive Simon Dibley said: “Street dance is a genre that has grown in popularity in recent years and attracts people from all ages, cultures and economic backgrounds. It should be a great weekend in Blackpool.”

Then, on Friday February 1, Brendan Cole – one of Strictly Come Dancing’s most charismatic choreographers and performers - plays the Opera House, promising to dazzle audiences with his brand new show Licence To Thrill.

He and a cast of 20 musicians and dancers will treat the audience to an evening of ballroom magic and Latin excitement.

Tickets for the UDO dance event are £15 dancers, £13 spectators. Doors open at 9am on Sunday with competition starts at 10am. Tickets for Brendan Cole are available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk
