PEOPLE who want to play an important role in guiding a leading theatre and cinema to greater success are needed by The Dukes in Lancaster.
Lancashire’s only home-producing theatre, thriving youth theatre, and independent cinema, is seeking new trustees to join its board.
The Dukes is a beacon for the arts in the North West.
As with the majority of publicly-funded arts organisations, the venue is managed by a voluntary, unpaid board of directors.
2011 marks the 40th anniversary of the theatre and the 25th anniversary of the Williamson Park plays.
The Dukes has ambitious plans for the future too.
The theatre is particularly interested in candidates with a broad business background, marketing or fundraising experience, and people with experience of leading building development.
Due to planned retirements from the board, several vacancies need filling in the next few months. The closing date for receipt of completed applications is March 14.
To request an application pack, contact Jacqui Wilson, theatre secretary, on 01524 598506; email jwilson@ dukes-lancaster.org or complete an information request form available from the Dukes box office.
