A last ditch attempt to hit a £7,500 Crowdfunding target is taking place tomorrow night.
Local bands Akin, Dirty Rotten Scoundrel and Cowbell Radio, as well as Louise from Touch The Pearl will take to The Blue Room stage for the Blackpool Through The Eyes Of Others project.
The team must hit the total by 10am on Tuesday, to shoot a ‘positive short film about Blackpool that highlights all the positive creativity, beauty and art within the town’, in a bid to smash the ‘Kiss Me Quick’ stereotype image.
Tomorrow night’s gig is free entry, with donations going to the fund, and street artists Catch22, Infected By Design, He Dreamt Mars and Chris Fenn will add to the buzz.
And £2 raffle tickets will be sold, with prizes including a family ticket to the Winter Gardens’ New Year’s Eve Party, four tickets to Viva... Blackpool! on a Saturday night, £30 vouchers for The Chinese Buffet, and a meal and sauces at Nando’s.
