Blackpool actor Ashley Luke-Lloyd has swapped Blackpool’s famous Lights for the West End limelight.
The 21 year old, whose parents own the Aysgarth House Hotel on York street, is appearing in the new musical Loserville written by Elliot Davis and former Busted and Sons of Dork member James Bourne.
It marks Ashley’s 13th year in show business.
Ashley trained with Scream Theatre Schools and has been represented by Red Door Actors Management since the age of eight when his career into the world of acting and musical theatre took its first steps.
His theatre credits include Poor Baby in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s UK tour of Whistle Down The Wind when aged nine, and Michael in the original cast of Billy Elliot at the Victoria Palace Theatre at 13. He has also worked alongside Sir Elton John and director Stephen Daldry.
Ashley rubbed shoulders with Hollywood stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Saoirse Ronan in the film I Could Never Be Your Woman, and recently wrapped filming Horror Comedy Gingerclown 3D in Budapest in which he leads as Sam Tulley alongside Tim Curry.
The film is scheduled for release later this year.
Television credits include guest roles in Waterloo Road, The Royal, Doctors and Nigel Godfrey in Half Moon Investigations as well as commercial campaigns that include Kinder Egg with pop comeback act Steps, Vanish and Gamestation.
After a Leeds premiere and a trial provincial tour, Loserville started its West End run last week at The Garrick Theatre.
