Wanted: talented dancers for big competition

Have your say

An award winning choreographer is looking for the North West’s most talented dancers.

Dimitra Spencer, who has had success on Sky 1s Got to Dance, CBBC’s Alisha Dixon’s Street Dance Stars, and a Channel 4 documentary following her crew and dance life, has gained Hip Hop and Street Dance Championship titles since 2004 and is two times UDO World Street Dance Champion.

Joining forces with Scream in Blackpool, they are looking in 2013 to produce junior, varsity and adult crews to compete and qualify in regional and national competitions to take to the World Championships.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, and want to be part of winning teams then you need to get down to Scream on Wareham Road in Blackpool on Thursday January 3 at 1pm for the Juniors (8 to 12 years) or 2.30pm for the Varsity and Adult Crews (13+).

You will be taught a routine by Dimitra which you will be required to perform back and also be given a chance to freestyle to showcase your own individual skills. This is an opportunity to be mentored by a renowned dancer and choreographer who has produced successful and world class crews, and has choreographed for the Brit awards, MTV Awards and also for numerous chart artists.
