‘Two Old Birds with Cameras’ are getting ready to fly their nest at the Galleon Coffee Bar in Topping Street with a new exhibition.

Dawn Mander and Jill Reidy have put together their first collaborative photographic exhibition, sharing a message about inclusivity.

Marking lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender month, the Inside Out show, which runs until Saturday, has seen them photograph and interview members of Blackpool’s large LGBT community.

The ‘birds’’ show explores how these subjects see themselves, but also how they feel they are perceived by the wider community.

Jill said: “What comes across most forcibly is that this is not about sexuality; this is about people, pure and simple: individuals who live, love, laugh and cry.

“And that’s really all anybody needs to know.”
