Poulton skating sensation Dan Whiston is finally able to get home and put his feet up after a whirlwind few months.
And the former Hot Ice star has another addition to the mantelpiece – his third Dancing on Ice trophy.
Dan skated to victory in the hit ITV1 series this time with Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle on Sunday.
It made a hat-trick for Dan, who has previously won the show with actresses Gaynor Faye and Hayley Tamaddon.
And today he was able to come home and relax after spending the last few days doing press and TV interviews.
He said: “I am still absolutely on cloud nine. I am really pleased for Beth because she just worked so hard.
“The finalists were all so close, no one knew what was going to happen. I think that’s what made it so great, it was unpredictable.”
Dan and partner Beth were very popular with the public and were never in the bottom two from the public vote at any point in the series.
But Dan, 36, said: “I am so happy. And so is Beth. She drove back home with her trophy strapped in next to her on the passenger seat.
“Mine will be taking pride of place of course next to the other two. That was such a special moment to pick up that trophy for a third time.
“I am going to spend some time with my family this week, get chance to catch-up and celebrate together. Something like this is so great as it touches all my family and friends.
“The really lovely thing about Dancing on Ice is every series I have made new friends, really good friends.”
