Having invested so much effort and enthusiasm in the famed Hot Ice Show productions it seems only right that its director Amanda Thompson should title this year’s show ‘Passion’.
The award-winning ice show will be returning to The Arena at Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Thursday and it promises to be a passionate affair with a Winter Olympics connection.
Fresh from the 2014 Sochi Games, skaters, many of whom represented their home countries in the competition, will showcase their high speed and famous spins for the show.
And Blackpool’s own Katie Stainsby, a star of ITV’s Dancing On Ice, returns to the arena where she started her skating career, having had to bow out of last year’s show due to injury.
The world’s longest running ice show has been wowing audiences with fast-paced skating, stylish and eye-popping costumes as well as thousands of feathers and rhinestones making the ice glitter, for an incredible seven decades.
Producer and director Amanda Thompson said: “Hot Ice Show is one of those productions that really must be seen to be believed.
“Each year we work hard on raising the standard of dramatic ice skating and this years show really lives up to this.”
Hot Ice Show is on at The Arena from July 3 to September 6, suitable for all ages.
