BBC celebrity talent show Strictly Come Dancing may have abandoned Blackpool this year.
But stars of rival reality TV series Dancing On Ice is set to light up a resort rink.
Professional rugby player Kyran Bracken was one of the stars of the ice winning the contest in 2007, and has since made a career out of skating.
He now pulls in star dancers from across the various years of the series for Kyran Bracken’s Ice Party which returns to Blackpool again this year with a spellbinding family show.
Kyran will present the show at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and perform on the ice alongside a host of well-known celebrity skaters including Emmerdale actor Matt Wolfenden, Fylde coast skating star Daniel Whiston and Coronation Street favourite Chris Fountain alongside judge Karen Barber and Colin Ratushniak.
Kyran said: “We’re delighted the ice party has been so popular in Blackpool over the last three years.
“The purpose-built venue really allows the audience to feel part of the show.
“It is a fantastic treat for all the family, so we’re thrilled to be returning for our third year.
“The audiences recently have been amazing so we hope we can provide another great show for the residents and visitors of Blackpool”.
Pleasure Beach managing director Amanda Thompson said the show was a favourite with local audiences.
She added: “I’m thrilled to welcome back the ice party to The Arena. Each year the show proves very popular and I’m sure this year’s production will be just as loved.”
The ice party is at The Arena tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. Evening shows are on at 7pm every day and matinee shows are at 2.30pm tomorrow and Saturday.
