The Sugar Dandies are nothing if not different.

The same sex dance duo, made up of Soren and Bradley Stauffer-Kruse, came to Blackpool as part of Showzam and went down a storm in the Spanish Hall in the
Winter Gardens, where they hosted an all-singing,
all-dancing tea-party.

The pair became national celebrities when they reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent and have had sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

“It is always great to be to be in Blackpool,” said Soren. “We love the people here and they always get into the spirit of things.”

Close to £150,000 has been spent on this year’s Showzam! festival, which kicked off on Saturday with the carnival Ball.

It continues with events throughout the resort until Sunday.
