Poulton skating star Dan Whiston swapped his blades for trainers when he took part in a 5k charity run.
The Dancing on Ice favourite took to the running track as opposed to the rink, to raise money for Heart UK.
The event was organised by Subway, as Heart UK is the company’s charity of the year.
Dan owns a Subway sandwich shop in Preston, which he runs with business partners Karen Barber and Anne and Ben Wade, and will be opening another two outlets on the Fylde coast later this month.
He was joined at Heaton Park in Manchester by Anne and Ben and their son Ollie for the charity run, as well as his partner from the last series of Dancing on Ice, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle.
Dan said: “We had a lovely time. It felt like a real family day and everyone enjoyed it.
“And of course, it was to help a good cause.
“I needed to keep myself fit as I am running another skate school, on November 2, with Karen Barber, at Jubilee Ice Rink, in Cleveleys, from 5pm.”
