HE’S the ice king and she’s the queen of GB gymnastics.
And together Dan Whiston and Beth Tweddle hope they can score another victory – lifting this year’s Dancing on Ice trophy.
The pair have been working hard in rehearsals all week for the first show this series, to be shown live on ITV1 on Sunday at 6.15pm.
Three times Olympian Beth, 27, is already the bookies’ favourite, with odds of 3/1.
But Dan, 36, from Poulton, says they won’t be taking anything for granted and they have been putting the hours in on the ice this week to get their routine up to scratch.
The former Hot Ice star and twice winner of Dancing on Ice, said: “It’s been non-stop. This week has been all about rehearsing.
“We’ve had our own routine to learn and also a huge opening routine which will star all the celebrities, as well as professionals.
“Beth is doing great, she’s loving it. She works hard – some nights we are literally there as the lights are switched off and people are sweeping up around us.
“We’re just going to enjoy it, make the most of it, because anything can happen on a show like this.”
